Performance & Turnaround

Comparative Performance Scan

Are all of your production sites fit for the future? Increasing raw material prices, reduced margins,…

Companies must run their production facilities at highest efficiency levels to stay competitive under such market conditions. Continuous productivity, cost and performance improvements are prerequisites for a long-term and sustainable success. But: Apart from incremental improvements, how is a fast and systematic identification of potential performance leaps possible?

Companies with similar processes at several production sites have the chance of creating transparency on an operational level through internal comparisons.

Do you already take full advantage of this opportunity and do you know the answer to the following questions?
  • Which of our sites has the lowest production cost?
  • Which is the most productive site?
  • To what extent do performance levels differ between our facilities?
  • Are all our facilities fit for future challenges?
  • Do we take full advantage of the new technology at site XY?
  • Which improvement potential can be revealed in a direct comparison between our sites?
  • What can our facilities learn from each other?
  • Which processes should be applied as future standard operating procedures?
  • Do we need to question any production facility in the medium/long term?
  •  …
We have developed the “Comparative Performance Scan” (CPS), a structured approach for the collection of cost and performance data enabling in-depth analysis, comparison and development of specific targets across numerous facilities. Our experience shows that significant (cost-)potentials can be identified, addressed and realized within a short period of time. Besides that, CPS also contributes to the harmonization of processes and structures by identifying best practices and initiating know-how transfer among facilities.
